The Midas Touch We finally did away with the second of the three disgusting colors that our house's previous owners left behind. This time, we swapped the teal in the upstairs living room for Sherwin Williams Gold Coast. Besides the color ending up a bit brighter than I expected, the project required a bit more labor than our tiny foyer. What's worse is that while we successfully evaded a mess in the entry, the upstairs was a little of the opposite. Gold ended up everywhere. Unable to pinpoint the source of the problem, gold paint soaked through the drop cloths and on to the floor, it was on the bottom of my feet, under my nails and even splattered on the trim. Either I'm not cut out to be a painter or I've got the Midas touch. posted by paula 5:17 PM
