The quest for the perfect band
No one ever told me that engagement would suck up so much of your weekends. But here we are, my betrothed and I, sitting side by side in front of our computers planning the day that is to be our wedding.
I am perusing through magazines and double checking addresses for the guest list, while Ryan is in search of the perfect band. If there was a more depressing Sunday afternoon for him, it might be a Wiking Superbowl loss to the Packers, but this rivals a close second. He currently has sorted through endless cheap, disgusting, websites filled with useless animated graphics and ridiculous versions of Low Rider and I Will Survive. The lowest moment was reached when we happened upon the website of a small local band in Wisconsin where the lead singer, a portly Asian fellow in a $10 Indian head dress, was featured with his revised, but refreshing version of YMCA:
"You can have a good meal. You can catch a disease. You can do it anyway you please! It's fun to bang at the Y-M-C-A!"
Just the words every crowd wants to hear after watching their friends pledge their vows to each other.
