Kudos to Mercedes Benz on capturing the essence of owning a Mercedes. With the exception of the occasional testosterone-injected, over inflated ego, I think most Mercedes Benz owners agree that there is a spirit to driving such a machine. Their newest ad compaign, appropriately titled Love Mercedes, solicited photos from Benz owners around the world. The commercials are a slideshow of those photos, sealed with the simple text of "No one takes pictures with their toaster. Unlike any other."

Tax Day
For the first time in quite a long time, we watched the news. Tonight we sat lazily sprawled on the sofa, waiting for the weather report.
It was somewhere in the middle of the broadcast that the local Fox channel reported on the impending doom of tax day. Letting out a half grumble at this year’s tax misfortune, I took little comfort in knowing that I wasn’t the object of their story: those who had yet to file their taxes.
In the midst of their discussion on the penalties for late filing, they interviewed a gentleman from the IRS. His title I’m unsure of, since it was listed simply as “IRS” but considering that he was worthy of an interview, he must be of some importance. What is more important, however, was his appearance.
The man had not one, but two wandering eyes. These were no mere lazy eyes, which you could tell went astray every now and then. Nor were they crossed eyes, stationary at the nasal focus point. They were horribly, misguided, misshapen and constantly wandering eyes, completely lacking in direction or synchronization. They were completely without control, tracing paths similar to those of searchlights or spotlights seen at a Hollywood premiere.
Naturally, we giggled at first. Then rewound the TiVo. And rewound again. And again. Then the giggles subsided to fear.
You see what sort of problem this presents to the viewer, knowing that those individuals in charge of collecting our hard earned wages could hardly make out the numbers on billboard let alone those on my W-2. I suspect that due to this individual and possibly many more like him, my taxes this year have somehow had a number transposed on them and am currently drafting an appeal letter to the IRS.
